Facial masks offer numerous benefits for skin and an indulgent pampering experience. Sheet masks and cream masks are two options that deliver exceptional results. In this blogpost, we will explore how you can maximise the benefits of these masks to achieve a healthy, radiant complexion.
Prep Your Skin
Skincare ingredients can absorb up to 70% better into freshly exfoliated skin. That's why the first step before applying your face mask (ideally weekly), would be to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. Start with a balancing cleanser like KOSHO Creamy Cleansing Mousse to remove dirt, oil, and makeup. Gently exfoliate off dead skin cells with a gentle mechanical peel such as KOSHO Multi-Effect Peeling (suitable even for sensitive skin). This preparation ensures that the mask's active ingredients can penetrate deeply, delivering optimal results.
If your skin is extremely sensitive or you suffer from facial skin conditions such as eczema, then skip the exfoliation and only cleanse skin with skinicer® Repair Cleanser. This gentle cleanser was developed by a leading Dermatologist to be pH Neutral and not strip the skin of its natural barrier.

Choose The Right Mask For Your Skin
Selecting the mask that best suits your skin type, concerns and goals is key. For dry or sensitive skin, opt for cream masks with rich, naturally nourishing ingredients likefor example, the skinicer® Repair Mask, which also includes the natural antimicrobial and cell-regenerative properties of the unique Spiralin® microalgae extract to accelerate healing and rejuvenation of skin.
If you're not keen on cream masks which can get a little messy, a fuss-free sheet mask like Biotulin® Bio Cellulose Masks are for you. Each mask is drenched in more than half a bottle of the same naturally effective skin-smoothing and -plumping ingredients as the original Biotulin® Supreme Skin Gel. Thanks to the innovative bio cellulose material, these masks fit like a second skin and don't dry up or fall off even with movement.

Correct Application
To get the most out of your facial mask, apply it properly. For sheet masks, start by unfolding the mask and placing it on your face, aligning the holes with your eyes, nose, and mouth. Smooth out any air bubbles and gently press the mask onto your skin for maximum adherence. For cream masks, use a clean brush or your fingertips to evenly apply the product over your face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Ensure a thin, uniform layer without leaving any excess product.
Timing & Relaxation
Timing is crucial when using facial masks. Most masks should be left on for 15-30 minutes (skinicer® Repair Mask = 15-20 minutes, Biotulin® Bio Cellulose Masks 30 minutes). Follow the instructions provided to ensure optimal results. While waiting, take the opportunity to relax and unwind.
Find a quiet spot, listen to calming music, or engage in meditation to enhance the overall experience. By combining the mask's benefits with relaxation techniques, you'll achieve a refreshed and rejuvenated state of mind.
Post-Mask Skincare Routine
After removing the mask, don't skip the post-mask skincare routine. Gently massage any remaining product into your skin, allowing it to fully absorb (please note: neither of our masks are washed off).
Follow up with a lightweight moisturiser (e.g. Biotulin® Daynite 24+ Cream) to lock in the mask's benefits. Remember to apply UV-protection before heading out to protect your skin from harmful UV rays (e.g. KOSHO Smart Protection Cream)
